Welcome to the 1st Battalion 12th Infantry Regiment Red Warriors Vietnam Association Website |
WELCOME. TO THE RED WARRIORS VIETNAM ASSOCIATION. We are a Section 501(c) tax exempt non-profit organization.
THE PURPOSE of this website is to preserve the five year history of the 1st Battalion 12th Infantry Regiment (1/12thRed Warriors) 4thInfantry Division - Vietnam Era, and that of 'Task Force Warrior’s' Vietnam service. (The Task Force was composed of members of the 1/12 Infantry - Red Warriors; B Battery, 4/42nd Artillery - Straight Arrows; and 1st Platoon, B Company, 4th Engineers. of the 4th Infantry Division)
Our key goals are to develop comprehensive company manning rosters that are searchable, accurate casualty reports, and a day-to-day history of Task Force Warrior’s activities. You can help us achieve these goals by sharing additional names or missing information. We hope that veterans’ recollections of activities on a given day or during a particular operation will help fill in gaps in the War Diary.
We also invite veterans and their families to use our website to reach out to each other. We have some contact information for former members of the Task Force, but have not made it public. If you would like to reach a specific man, please contact Wilfred Pla, who maintains the Association Roster, and he will forward your message if possible.

SEARCH THE ROSTER
We suggest that you begin your journey through the website by starting in the 'Roster' folder, finding your own name and checking to see if everything we have listed for you is correct. (Instructions on how to have problems fixed are at the bottom of your page). After that you might want to look under the years indicated in the “War Diary” folder for your tour of duty. If you find that something is missing or is incorrect, please let Del Willenbecher, Battalion historian, know. For those who are looking for information about the 253 men who made the ultimate sacrifice, we have the Task Force losses broken down by company in the “Casualty Bio's” folder.
Use the “Roster Search” engine to see if your buddies are included, and let us know of any updates or corrections needed. We have added a 'Deceased' (Advance Party) page to recognize those who, after the war, are no longer with us.
BUDDY SEARCH:
If you are looking for a fellow Red Warrior, we may be able to help. We maintain a roster of fellow Red Warrior that we have contact information on. We have hundreds of names on our contact list. . Visit the 'BUDDY SEARCH' page to enquire about a long lost buddy.
